REVIEW: Acer Aspire One [Original Model, November 2008]

Check out Amazon.com: tinyurl.com [Affiliate] www.digitalhomethoughts.com This is my review of the Acer Aspire One, a netbook with some fairly typical specs a 1.6 Ghz Intel Atom CPU, 1 GB RAM, an 8.9 inch screen, a 120 GB hard drive, 802.11b/g, a 6 cell battery, and running Windows XP Home. Pricing varies – I paid around 9 for this, but Acer has changed the product slightly – they’re now shipping it with a 160 GB hard drive, and there are several version of the Aspire One on the market, including an entry-level unit with Linux. I shot this review over a month ago, so keep that in mind when I mention not having the MSI Wind yet. My battery is different than yours.? Mine didn’t come with a leather sleeve. I got mine from best buy in Michigan.

I? have this and I advise everyone not to get it, sorry it’s just really bad
- it can’t play fullscreen well
- it has a tiny screen
- it constantly freezes up all the time
- my one has broken Down and I haven’t harmed it in any way i am getting a laptop

Brilliant little Netbook Was great through my 3 yr college and im still using it today. Great for watching? vids, music, emailing, surfing, office use ect.

People who complain about this being slow expect too much from such a small laptop, its not a gaming machine or a download bucket

Great little netbook, mainly use it for surfing in bed nowadays, but still, recommended

lmao? this is a netbook…….. first of all it doesnt even have a cd ROM it is impossible to run mw3 with 1 gig of ram and a shitty intel atom proccesor, netbooks are for non-heavy programs, social websites, youtube, and for a bit of work like microsoft word. get a gaming laptop, you can get a cheaper one for about 800$ CND but u wont regret it……

I don’t trust ACER anymore. I purchased ACER ASPIRE ONE, after a? few months the monitor is blinkering. My friends with the same brand and model encounter the same problem!

I’ve used this old model of the acer aspire one in the past and it is fucking shit. I have the 2011 model of the acer aspire one and it’s much better than? the shitty 1st model.
